Will the breast implant surgery have any effects on my getting pregnant?
I want to have breast implants done to correct my uneven breast. My husband and I were also planning on having another baby in about 6 months. Can I do both? Will the breast implant surgery have any effects on my getting pregnant?

I have breast implants (i just got them 2 weeks ago... i love them!) It shouldn\'t have any effects... but if you do get them have them under the muscle so that way you know for a fact you can breast feed. But I recommend you to wait after you have the baby... why?! Its going to take you the most 4 months to get use to them and its not like really really pain full but you wouldn\'t want to deal with your implants and your belly. Trust me you wont. Plus your boobs are going to look really good that maybe after you breastfeed they wont any more. Why don\'t you wait till you breast feed your baby and after your done you can get them done.?! I think that\'s a good idea. Make sure you do a lot of research with the doctor your going with.

Should I replace them with new implants? And if one ruptures what are the complications they are saline? Will it harm me if they rupture? And will it cost less to replace or am I going to have to pay for them all over again?

I believe implants should be replaced after 10 years, unless you\'re experiancing problems. If you\'re feeling fine, and they still look good to you, thre is no reason for you to have them redone. Saline is safer than silicone, but if there is a rupture you should probably get the shell of the impant taken out. I also think that if you\'re replacing them, or getting them redone that would be another surgery, which yes you would probably have to pay for. I need my cerebral shunt removed immediately. I was curious if anyone knows what complications could arise?

I have a while before I can discuss the removal process with my neurosurgeon, but I am curious to know if anyone out there has had this procedure. The shunt is deteriorating so it must be taken out small bits at a time (from the shunt that\'s implanted sub-cranially to the tubing that extends deep into my abdomen). I am curious to know what kind of recovery process I can expect, both in hospital and outside of the hospital. Any information would be helpful!
Answer :
I have taken out a few. If you are not dependent on the shunt (ie the condition for which the shunt was put in can be managed ok without it), then recovery is rapid. If you ARE dependent on the shunt, you will decline to how you were pre-shunting. The main risks with shunt removal are:
unable to take it all out (pieces stuck, or broken and irretrievable);
brain haemorrhage;
leakage of cerebrospinal fluid;
brain damage. These risks are small, but real. Good luck!

I much prefer the real thing over implants any day. The fake ones can look pretty good when you have cloths on, but often look terribly fake when your cloths are off, especially laying down on your back. The women I know that have had them have had no problems and say they love them because they have improved their self-esteem. Several of them do not care for the way they feel and have complained that their husbands don\'t touch them. Most men I know say they feel terrible but some like the way they look. I prefer natural anyday ..... but if you get them, go smaller, I think you will have a better chance of them being softer and looking more natural. A good doctor can make some difference but in the end, some of it is just how your body handles them. Save your money and spend it on keeping in prime shape with a nice butt and legs to go with the gorgeous breasts you already have !!!!! I am mikeallen555555@yahoo.com if you want to chat

my sister in law is hospitalized with severe stomach pains and they have looked at kidneys, liver you name it. shes only 26 and very healthy. works out, eats right. im wondering if they it may be from her implants which im sure they havent thought of .any info would be helpful

I have had implants for years and never had a problem. As long as she has informed them of that surgery it will be teaken into consideration. This being pain below the diaphram sounds much more like a gastro intertinal problem. I would be very surprised if her implants have anything to do with her GI problems.
